Anyone who has owned a BMW from this era knows quite well of the issues involving the factory fans. From the difficulty of removing them from the engine, the power they rob, and their inevitable failures, they oftentimes result in unannounced explosion of fan blades at speed! No more! I’ve worked to put together a simple-to-install kit for electric fan conversion, including the fan, shroud, temperature sensor, wiring harness, and directions! Everything you need to convert an E39 540i to electric fan is included in this, and it is all pre-assembled!

Spal 16” fan, 2024 cfm, with two pin weatherpack connector installed
New factory radiator shroud with aluminum fan adapter plate installed (all hardware is stainless steel)
Wiring harness with connectors and fan relay
Coolant temperature sensor
Radiator hose insert for coolant temperature sensor with hose clamps
